Typically all Mobile Patrols are performed by Duty Supervisors who would attend your premises in a Company liveried van. It is important not to specify exact times of patrols to avoid predictability. The Officer would perform the patrol on foot checking all fences, gates, doors, windows, vehicles, plant, equipment and outbuildings. Lone workers on site can be checked under Health & Safety at Work legislation.
Locking up / Opening up procedures are often performed for large businesses with staff finishing and commencing shift at varying times. A full patrol would be conducted of the interior and exterior of the building. All lights and electrical equipment would be switched off, doors and windows locked and alarms set. The reverse would be the case for opening up.
Ultimate Security and Investigation can provide electronic patrol tagging systems for your peace of mind. Small electronic tags are placed around your site at vulnerable locations and the Officer carries a ‘tag pen’. On each patrol the tag pen is touched to the electronic tag. The exact time and date of the patrol is recorded and a printout is provided to you at your request.
The number of visits / patrols required may be determined by factors such as location, vulnerability, site staff working hours, lone workers, crime levels in the area, repeat victim, lighting and of course, cost.
